Accessibility Statement

Valiant Lifecare is committed to making the VLMS HR Portal accessible to everyone, including individuals with disabilities.

Our Commitment: Valiant Lifecare is committed to conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We review and test our platform regularly to identify and resolve accessibility barriers.

Our WCAG 2.1 AA Commitment

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance to these guidelines also makes web content more usable to all users in general.

Our accessibility efforts are guided by four principles — that content must be:

  • Perceivable: Information and UI components must be presentable in ways users can perceive, including through screen readers and other assistive technologies
  • Operable: UI components and navigation must be operable via keyboard and other input methods
  • Understandable: Information and UI operation must be understandable, including consistent navigation and clear error identification
  • Robust: Content must be robust enough to be reliably interpreted by a wide variety of assistive technologies

Measures We Have Taken

Specific accessibility features implemented across the VLMS HR Portal include:

  • Semantic HTML5 markup with appropriate heading hierarchy
  • All images include descriptive alt text or are marked as decorative
  • Sufficient color contrast ratios meeting WCAG AA minimums (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
  • All interactive elements are keyboard-navigable and have visible focus states
  • Form fields include associated labels and descriptive error messages
  • ARIA attributes used where appropriate to enhance screen reader support
  • Skip navigation link available at the top of each page
  • Responsive design supporting zoom up to 200% without loss of content
  • No content that flashes more than 3 times per second
  • Timeout warnings for session expiration with option to extend

Assistive Technology Support

We regularly test the Platform with the following assistive technologies:

NVDA + Firefox

Windows screen reader — primary testing combination

JAWS + Chrome

Enterprise screen reader widely used in healthcare settings

VoiceOver + Safari

macOS and iOS built-in screen reader

TalkBack + Chrome

Android screen reader for mobile accessibility testing

Dragon NaturallySpeaking

Voice control software for users with motor disabilities

ZoomText

Screen magnification software for low vision users

Known Issues

We are aware of the following known accessibility limitations and are actively working to resolve them:

  • Some complex data tables in the reporting module may not announce column headers correctly in JAWS — targeted for resolution in Q3 2026
  • The EHR simulator module contains third-party iframe content that we cannot fully control — we provide a text-based alternative for users who require it
  • Some older PDF documents in the resource library have not yet been tagged for accessibility — we are working through a retroactive tagging project expected to complete by Q4 2026

We are committed to resolving all known issues as quickly as possible. If you encounter an accessibility barrier not listed here, please report it using the contact information below.

ADA Compliance Statement

Valiant Lifecare is committed to compliance with Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act as applicable to our digital services. We view accessibility as an ongoing commitment, not a one-time project. We conduct accessibility reviews with each major Platform update and engage external accessibility consultants for annual audits.
