📋 Application Process

Create a free account on the VLMS HR Portal, complete your candidate profile (including uploading your AAPC or AHIMA credential ID), and browse open roles on our Careers page. You can apply with one click using your saved profile — no separate cover letter required for most positions.
Yes. You can apply to as many open roles as match your credentials and experience. Our AI matching system will prioritize roles where your profile is strongest, so your applications are surfaced to recruiters in the right order.
Our AI screening reviews your profile against the role requirements within minutes of submission. A human recruiter then reviews top-matched candidates within 1–2 business days. You'll receive an automated status update at every stage of the process — no black-hole rejections.
At minimum: your AAPC or AHIMA credential ID (we verify directly with the certification body), your resume or work history, and a brief skills summary. Some roles may require coding accuracy test results or a work sample. These are always clearly listed in the job description.
Yes. You can withdraw any active application from your VLMS candidate dashboard at any time before an offer is extended. Select the application, choose "Withdraw," and add an optional note. Your profile remains active for future opportunities.
Log in to your VLMS candidate dashboard and navigate to "My Applications." Each application shows its current status: Under Review, Screening Scheduled, Interview Stage, Offer Pending, or Closed. You'll also receive email notifications for every status change.

Yes. Production-based coders on qualifying accounts are eligible for quarterly accuracy and productivity bonuses. Senior coders and auditors may also be eligible for annual performance bonuses ranging from 5% to 15% of base salary, based on individual and team outcomes.

🏠 Remote Work

The majority of coding, billing, and auditing roles at Valiant are fully remote. Some leadership and operations roles may require occasional travel to our Pune office or client sites. Remote eligibility is always clearly stated in the job posting.
Valiant provides: a pre-configured laptop with required security software, a VPN subscription, access to all required coding software and EHR portals, and a $500 home office setup stipend for desk, monitor, or ergonomic equipment. Employees are responsible for a reliable internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps upload recommended).
Valiant has remote employees across US Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific time zones, as well as teams in India (IST) and the UAE (GST). Most roles list their expected core hours in the job description. Many positions allow flexible scheduling as long as you hit your production targets and maintain availability for scheduled team touchpoints.
Yes. All new full-time remote employees receive a one-time $500 home office setup stipend, paid in your first paycheck after 30 days of employment. This can be used for monitors, an ergonomic chair, a standing desk, keyboard, or any work-related equipment. Receipts are required for reimbursement.

🛡️ Compliance & Credentials

Most coding, auditing, and risk adjustment roles require at least a CPC, CCS, CRC, or equivalent active credential. Some entry-level and training roles accept CPC-A (apprentice) candidates or those who are within 90 days of taking their exam. Each job posting specifies the exact credential requirements.
We verify all credentials directly with AAPC and AHIMA through their official verification portals before extending any offer. We do not accept self-reported credential status. Applicants must provide their AAPC or AHIMA member ID during the application process. Credential verification typically takes 24–48 hours.
Credential maintenance is your responsibility, but Valiant supports you actively. The VLMS platform tracks your CEU accumulation and sends renewal reminders at 120, 60, and 30 days before expiration. If your credential lapses, you'll be placed in a temporary non-coding role while you complete your renewal — your employment is not automatically terminated for a first-time lapse.
Yes. All Valiant employees — regardless of role — must complete our HIPAA Privacy and Security training within 7 days of their start date and annually thereafter. Completion is tracked in the VLMS compliance module. Failure to complete mandatory training within the deadline may result in temporary system access suspension.
Yes. Valiant screens all new hires against the OIG List of Excluded Individuals and Entities (LEIE) and the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to employment. We also run monthly re-screenings for all active employees. Employment offers are contingent on a clear exclusion check. Re-screening is fully automated through our compliance module.
