Program FAQs

The CPC, CCS, and RHIA/RHIT tracks are designed to build from foundational knowledge and are accessible to motivated beginners. The CPMA and CRC tracks are best suited to those with at least 2 years of active coding experience, as the exam bodies themselves require relevant work experience before sitting for those credentials.
Yes. All courses within the VLMS platform have been reviewed and approved for CEU credit by either AAPC or AHIMA (or both), as indicated on each course page. CEUs are automatically reported to your credential profile upon course completion.
Once enrolled, you have lifetime access to all course materials in your selected track — including any future updates. We regularly refresh content to reflect code set updates (ICD-10-CM, CPT) and CMS guideline changes each October.
Absolutely. Your VLMS account gives you access to courses across all tracks. If you decide to pivot from the CPC track to the CRC track (or any combination), your completed course history and CEUs carry over. Our advisor team can help you map out the most efficient path.
